USE OUR ONLINE CALCULATOR TO GET AN ESTIMATE FOR YOUR LIVE PROJECT

TRANSPARENCY - We believe in it. Your estimated cost should not be some strangely veiled mystery that leaves you in doubt. Most videographers will not post their prices. HOWEVER, we believe that price is just one small piece of a much bigger puzzle. Cheaper isn't always good and the most expensive does not guarantee the best. There is value somewhere in the middle.

Don't be overwhelmed at the calculator below. It seems on the surface a little confusing but it is not. We break down your cost into 6 key areas: 1) The Production Hub [the heart of the live broadcast], 2) What cameras you are using, 3) What optional add-ons you want to add to the cameras, 4) Audio, 5) Where your video is going to be shown and 6) Misc expenses that don't fall neatly into the other categories. REMEMEBER THIS IS AN ESTIMATE and it is designed to give you a foundation to build out the broadcast you need or want. You may be entitled to savings or other discounts depending on the scope of your project so make sure you reach out to one of our team members.

SO, LET'S GET STARTED. To make this easier you can choose a template () then customize as needed, or start filling in the required data below. In either case make sure to review all options. The base package of a minimum 3 hour project is already filled in for you. Total Cost is at the bottom of the page!

NOTE: TO RESET THIS TEMPLATE - CLICK ON THE HOME BUTTON AND THEN RETURN TO THIS PAGE - THE TEMPLATE WILL RESET TO THE BASE PACKAGE.

My event lasts calendar days, with hours of it being recorded/streamed.

CollapseThe Production Hub "Video Village"
"Video Village" as we affectionally call it, is the heart of our live streaming operation. It contains all the equipment we need to film and stream your event.

The Director is the person guiding the camera operators and will choose which shots are going to be recorded, streamed, or projected. On small productions (less than 3 camera operators) the director will often operate as the Technical Director and monitor the live internet feed. When working with more than four cameras, a Technical Director is required and often steps in to operate the equipment so the Director can focus on watching cameras and giving the crew direction instead of operating the equipment.

Live Switching Equipment With Director $500.00 $500.00

The live switching equipment and director are a part of the base package for your service. This rate will never change unless you are doing two or more live streams at the same time. This equipment fee includes all the equipment to switch multiple cameras -- the switcher, routing equipment, cabling, display monitors, video recorders, any necessary converters, and an intercom system to talk to camera operators. It also includes all of the equipment necessary to manage power point presentations, graphics, audio and pre-roll video.

Engineer     $750.00

An Engineer is responsible for color matching all cameras, making sure all broadcast equipment is working and troubleshooting any production issues during the live stream. The Engineer plays a critical role in the final look of your video and the technical challenges involved in large scale projects. We strongly recommend an Engineer on large scale live broadcasts that contain a full production crew and 5 or more cameras. This operator rate may be higher based on the complexity of your event. See your final contract for details.

Technical Director (Switcher Operator)     $400.00

A technical director is the hands of the operation and is an extension of the Director. The TD follows the commands of the Director putting shots on air as called for in the production. A TD is required for projects involving more than 4 cameras.

CollapseCameras

The number of cameras you use will determine the professional look of your broadcast. Multiple cameras allow us to provide different perspectives - with one camera live, one ready to go live and one position for a new shot. VARIETY is key to giving the live stream that TV production look. Shooting events with just two cameras (or even one) is possible, but it limits the variety of shots and is difficult on camera operators. The camera equipment fee includes the camera, tripod, intercom, and display monitor for each camera operator. Unless you are choosing to have an unmanned camera - the equipment quantity and the operator quantity should be the same.

Standard Tripod-Mounted Camera $225.00 $425.00

We use High Definition Sony PXW series, NX series or Canon XF series cameras which provide excellent image quality. They are great general-purpose cameras perfectly suited for live events. Set-up time is an additional cost not included.

Premium Tripod-Mounted Camera $450.00 $625.00

Premium cameras are 4K or 4K Ultra HD cameras that require more experienced and skilled operators and very controlled lighting. Sony FS7, Canon C300 and the Blackmagic Design Ursa 4K are examples of these cameras. These cameras can provide exceptional image quality both live and recorded. Set-up time is an additional cost not included.

Mobile Shoulder-Mount Camera (Wired) $415.00 $625.00

These types of cameras are the larger TV style shoulder mounted cameras that often have excellent picture quality at the expensive of weight and size. We consider these cameras premium cameras due to their superior picture quality. Experience camera operators in this position is a must. Wired mobile cameras usually require a helper to wrangle the cable. If EVP provides a cable wrangler the rate is $150.00 per day. Set-up time is an additional cost not included.

Wireless Mobile Camera $350.00 $400.00

Wireless cameras are primarily used in sporting events or in areas where we are unable to or not allowed to lay video cabling across the event area. We use Teradek wireless kits that are good for distances up to 300 feet. Need to go up to 2,000 feet? We can provide that equipment for an additional fee of $250.00. These wireless transmitters require "line of sight" to work effectively - walls, barriers or other physical obstructions can limit the distance that can be used. Contact us for more information. Set-up time is an additional cost not included.

Robotic Pan/Tilt/Zoom Camera $275.00 $350.00

Robotic cameras are desirable in places where it is impractical, impossible, or dangerous to have a camera operator. One PTZ operator can often control several cameras using a hardware controller. PTZ cameras are a special request item only. Additional cost including set-up time may be required. See your contract for details.

Static Unmanned Cameras $135.00

These are unmanned, motionless, small cameras that can capture a static shot. We use the Canon XA series of cameras because of their small footprint that makes them easy to mount almost anywhere.

CollapseOptional Video and Camera Add-Ons

These add-ons are optional and are generally reserved for sporting events or broadcasts that require animation or extensive graphics where a graphics operator is required.

CollapseAudio

Without audio, video would be lifeless. Great video requires great audio. Many clients will use their venue's A/V department to supply microphones, speakers and mixers. However, if you need us to supply this equipment, we can make it available.

Travel Expenses: Event is Located In

53.5 cent per mile per vehicle outside of Miami-Dade County. This is an estimate. See your contract for details.

Equipment Setup/Tear-down (Total Labor Hours) Hrs

Setup and Tear-down fees are waived for events shorter than 3 hours. In all other cases, Set-up/Tear-Down rates are $40/hour for each staff member involved in the set-up and tear-down process. Your contract will contain a line item for this rate.

Post-Production Hr $50.00
/Hour

Post-Production is anything done after the video has been shot. In this case, that usually means additional editing. Video editing times can vary greatly, but as a general guideline you can assume two hours of editing for every finished hour of video for events where camera shots aren't changed frequently (like a business conference), up to two hours per minute of video for fast-paced cuts like a music video. Usually when an event is switched live post production is minimal, if any is needed at all.

Delivery Fees

If you are finding lower labor rates elsewhere, chances are that you are receiving a rate for an inexperienced crew which could seriously compromise the quality of your production. Professional labor rates in Miami are expensive as we are a Top 20 TV market. However, We have negotiated rates below the average industry standard for professional level service on your behalf.

We understand that our clients have a budget and we will do what we can to make sure that your project can meet its budget goal. Discounts may be available based on the number of services requested. Please see your final contract for details and terms of service.
